What happened to the Power-

                    POWER OUTAGE?

In fact, no. My dear hubby did not pay the bill, for    2 MONTHS.
How you wonder does that happen to a man who crosses all his T's. Well, in his defense, we had a baby 2 months ago.
My embarrassment would have been kept between me and the electric guy had my in-laws not stopped in that very day for a quick 2 day visit before returning to their home from a vacation. Thankfully they were at the park with the kids when the "electric man" came.
I called my husband and told him to pay the bill and extra so that this would never happen again. 5 HOURS later our power was restored. Of course, I had to endure countless statements and questions such as,

"Wow, your house is the only one without power."
"I wonder why everyone else has power but you!!
"Did they say why the power was out?"
"Don't you find it strange that you don't have power?"
"Do they know what they need to do to fix your power?"

UM, YEAH, PAY THE BILL - THAT SHOULD FIX IT!!
Of course I did not say that, I just kept ignoring them hoping they would stop their endless questioning!! They never did find out the "cause" of the outage but we did have to buy dinner that night since I had to send my crockpot to my neighbors to cook.

Oh no poor you! I bet you were absolutely fuming at the same time as you were dying of embarrassment. Still, look on the bright side, it makes for a great blog post story :) At the same time as I was sympathizing with you reading this I was also I confess laughing when you described how you tried to answer all your in-laws questions as to why you were the only ones without power! As for still cooking dinner by sending your crock pot to the neighbors house? I would have been ordering to go food and sending my husband off to fetch it!

Just a thought - but have you checked that all your other utility bills have been paid?? Maybe your husband has a dose of my momnesia!!

Hope this week turns out a little better.

LOL I can only laugh because last week we had our water shut off. Yes, it royally sucked and DH is no longer in charge of the utilites!! I'm glad it was restored quickly!

Oh my I just did this on Monday and was sooo embarrassed! It was completely an accident...one of those things I thought I paid and they don't give you but three days past the due date. Called, paid, and back on in like 3 hours but maybe now I can get my hubby to take over bill paying...apparently I don't have a fail proof system! :)

Also, I'm wondering if you would be interested in participating in my Mom Blogger Contest for $100 Cash prize during the month of April?
